It's been a tough winter
It’s certainly has been quite some winter. January in particular was a very wet start to the year, which can be enough to put plenty of golfers off their game, but we’re proud to know that many of you will turn up to the tee come rain or shine.
We know from having orchestrated a recent survey that a huge majority of you turn up to the golf course no matter what the forecast says.
A whopping 89.6% of our readership admitted that they play golf at least weekly with more than half of respondents playing multiple times a week.
That’s an incredible number of golfers who will turn up for the love of the game even on wet drizzly, windy days. While the elements can add an extra obstacle to your round, there’s a great sense of satisfaction in having embraced the weather and having come through on the other side, round completed, and jackets drying in the clubhouse.
If the heart is willing, golf will be played, and we admire your tenacity to commit yourself to the game you love. The brutal weather can wreak havoc on your gear however, and while clothing can dry out, it can be a whole different story if your bag suffers damage.
Is it time for a change?
If you have been playing golf dutifully through the winter months, there’s no way you’d have avoided all the rainfall we’ve had.
If your current bag isn’t constructed from waterproof materials, there’s a good chance you’ll have encountered tears at the fabric, crumples in the material, holes poking through, and other niggles that warn that greater stress will cause huge damage.
Hopefully, with spring nearly here, there will be generally less rainfall, but we stock plenty of bags in the pro shop that are fully waterproof to give you extra peace of mind. Why not get yourself a new bag?
